Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She works for ESPN and works as a SportsCenter anchor for news. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. Her mother is the reporter for television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual from when she was nine years old. The ability that allowed her to get her first job as a Univision production assistant in Miami. In Miami, she worked with the producers of national shows such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The CBS station in St. Petersburg hired her following this to become the sports reporter. In 2009, the reporter moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley Texas where she was employed by KNVO TV 48 Univision as and Fox2 News. Reporting on stories about the issue of immigration and drug trafficking from both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, she was an anchor for five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a reporter and later anchor of anchoring the 9 p.m. news in English as well as another reporter for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she was a substitute for anchors of sports and weather forecasters. She then anchored and reported for Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She was a reporter for all of the Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS World Series and Dallas Cowboys, NBA postseason, Finals FC Dallas as well the Dallas Stars. She also hosted on the regional Univision 23 sports show Accion Deportiva Extra. The show was commissioned as a anchor of the sports program for Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. It was the same role as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto magazine and Contacto Deportivo on UniMas Network. Antonietta Collins' parents were born in Veracruz Mexico. They eventually moved to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. The family relocated to Miami after moving out of Mexico in the US. Soon after the family split up, and in the year 1995, Fabio Fajardo was remarried. He died of kidney cancer in 2006. Her residence was in Canton Ohio with her older sister over the summer and was given the opportunity of a job. Antonietta was a senior high school student however, she had a clear idea of her goals for the future. She went to Mount Union University to find out if the school was suitable for her. She loved the campus. It also gave her the degree she wanted. She graduated from school and was went to the University as a major in media studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed the WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked over the years, became an acquaintance. Mark's passion for journalism and confidence in herself encouraged her. She in turn was determined to achieve the standards he set and to not fail him.
