While we are navigating through the summer months in 2021, there's a constant feeling of uncertainty about how our contribution to society will be able to include the significant connections between people that were enjoyed by Rotary participants in the past. The motto "hands-face-space" is certain to become commonplace in our organization, it's clear that trust is growing and there are more face-to -face interactions. Rotary is indeed changing. As we approach the weeks leading to summer 2021 it is unclear how we will provide service to the local community. This is based on the human connections that was enjoyed by Rotary previous members. Although the phrase "hands-in-space" is undoubtedly part of our daily routine but it's clear that trust is rising as are the more direct relationships. Rotary is evolving. Rotary has evolved. In order to keep the business meetings we hold online we've brought back service and social gatherings in a face-to-face setting. We have taken the new opportunities and combined these with our practices to create a bright new future for Rotary! In a Rotary Survey It was encouraging to observe that a majority of the members are continuing with their previous programs and initiatives that benefit the people in Great Britain. It is great to see that the Rotary support center team offers valuable resources which help with the maintenance and promotion of the infrastructure, keeping members and the general public protected. The need for insurance and compliance is equally important. The inventiveness and creativity of our members in finding solutions to some of the toughest challenges is amazing and I am so thankful that the opportunity to join Rotary was given to me in 2002. Rotary has given me a dependable network with like-minded people which has led to the creation of friendships that are genuine.
